I am currently accepting students for in person lessons only in the Grant Park area of Atlanta!
So you or your child want viola or violin lessons? GREAT!
In a big city like Atlanta, it can be tremendously daunting to figure out how to find the right music teacher for you. Every student's needs are different, and every teacher's style is different. I'm best with late high school age and adult students, but motivated students of any age and ability level are welcome in my studio! Here's how to figure out if you and I are right for each other!
My ideal student:
--is eight or older, able to sit or stand and focus for 30 to 60 minutes at a time
--is able to take lessons weekly and schedule and pay for one month at a time
--is able to travel to my location
--is a beginning or intermediate violinist or at any stage of their development on the viola
--is committed to regular practice at home
--is starting with strong parental support or self-motivation
My lessons are all about helping a student find, unlock, and hone their own natural capacity for improvement on their chosen instrument through a blend of technical exercises and solo repertoire specific to that instrument and instruction in music theory and music history applicable to music as a whole. Once a student learns the WHAT and the WHY of music, the HOW becomes eminently more doable!
Sounds good to you? Get in touch!
